Unemplyment in Bulgaria continued decreasing, reaching an average rate of 10.36% in November 2005, Employment Agency data show. Unemployment fell by 0.07 points compared with October and by 1.52 points year on year. The main reason for the positive trend is the smaller number of people registered as jobless and the bigger number of people hired under government programmes.

A total of 43,081 people were registered as unemployed in November. More than 60% were previously occupied in the service sector. Demand for workforce in the real economy decreased by 38%, month on month, to 8,729 in November. At the same time nearly 10,300 jobs were announced and occupied under government employment programmes.
