4.3% inflation in May

National Statistical Institute data shows that the inflation in Bulgaria, on annual basis, has gone up to 4.3% during May. The index of consumer prices has slightly increased by 0.1 percentage points, in comparison to last month’s.

Experts predict a significant increase in consumer prices during the second half of the year, due to the expected increase of salary levels in the private sector, as well as the increase in electricity and gas prices.
