The Bulgarian economy continues to gain speed, as during the first three months of 2007, the growth is 6.2%. The gross domestic product during the period adds up to 11.49 billion leva. This accounts for a total of 1493 lv per capita of the Bulgarian population.
National Statistical Institute data shows that the gross value added by the branches of the Bulgarian economy amounts to 9,389 billion leva. In different terms, that represents 7.7% growth in comparison to the first three months of the previous year.
In intra-economy terms, the industry sector increases its share by 33.2% in the first three months of 2006, and by 33.5% in the same period in the current year. The service sector decreases its share by approximately 1%, reaching a total of 61.8%. The agrarian sector which accounts for a total of 4.7%, also experiences a decrease by 0.3%.
